Default NEW Systemdek 3D finally ready

Well Nearly, still waiting on a bit to finsh armboard off, but wow, this will be the Entry deck in the range, and already it's substantially beter than the prototype i have been using since may.

20mm bearing with no thrust, carbon fibre and birchply sub-chassis, outboard DC motor, in short it's stunning, running a PU7 and a new cart we will be debuting at the Manchester show on saturday, come and hear it for yourself.

Deck only just finished, so prices haven't been finalised, but perhaps £6k excluding arm and cart. It's one of the best TT's i have heard though, beats many well considered and well reviewed models into a cocked hat, rigids, ye kin keep em

& was it designed with the PU7 in mind, although I understand it will take any arm?

Yes will take any arm from 9-12" any colour you want too, all the magic has gone on underneath, bearing and suspension is a work of genius, i've never heard a deck with such a lack of smearing, fekking awesome is the word, I can't wait for my own, which will be it's big bruvver

was it designed with any particular speaker in mind?
& what speakers were mainly used in its R&D?

soz for 20 Q's but I gotta be sure before committing myself to a surgical procedure.

Erm....... the answer to both questions.....could it be speakers beginning with A and ending in T and with an R in the middle.

eh, you can use it with any speaker, but it was frequently tested with 20's and wasn't found wanting

The balance isn't right between the platter and the plinth. It could do with another layer on the plinth to hide that ugly armboard and the bottom inch of the platter and belt.

You can tell all that from one pic, wow I'm impressed, the armboard is missing a bit that wasn't ready, but apart from that it's finished, the ugly stuff you mention is carbon fibre and is a feature, but if you don't like it, then dint buy one

Are you planning a green one? You'll never sell one to a Celtic supporter otherwise!

And I hope you've got some good patents on it. Don't want Ivor to pinch this one! ;0)
